Matt + Nat go to INDIA!

india

According to my girlfriend, Jyoti, “India comes to those at a point in their lives when there is a lesson or something spiritual to be experienced” the allure has something to do with Tatra Bhumi of the land. Jyoti goes on to say, “It is believed that there are sages and ascetic meditating in the mountains who are hundreds of years old and the vibrations of their meditation is what makes people NEED to go to India”

In Nat’s words… I don’t know if she realizes what an amazing picture she paints…

“It was a pretty insane adventure today trying to figure out their train system, riding a rickshaw and almost getting hit by a car. I apparently zoned out while staring at a very thin, hunched over man lumbering over to me. The shopping has been pretty stellar so far and the food has been pretty delish! There was this darling little place called Leopold Cafe that served fantastic Indian and Hakka Chinese food mmmm. The Paneer Tikka Masala and the garlic naan were so so soooo good. And the tea…oh the tea. Authentic Indian Chai is lip-smackingly divine:) But considering how much of a city girl I am…I don’t really love Mumbai. It’s not even the slums that really bother me or the occasional stench of sewage in the thick air, it’s the utter chaos and the sickening amount of pollution in the air. It made the inside of my nostrils back (don’t ask me how I found out).”

Now I’m not entirely sure if Nat is okay with me posting this on Karmacake, but I couldn’t help it. It’s a fresh of the moment play by play of my co-host, writer and friend Nat and her brilliant boyfriend (and friend too, yes?) as they trek across India for the first time. When they get sleepy the flip starts to shake and go wonky but in the first installment you see their wicked backpack, chickens on a truck, drams over passports, a rustic way to shower at the Hotel Jayshree and an au revoir to Starbucks!

Please don’t hate me for posting… but it was too good not to share!

You want to keep the adventure going? Watch the other parts!

Love this culture/travel feature. I think mixing culture and travel together makes this a unique offering. different than many other travel blogs that focus on the “sun & sand.” Keep up the great work!
