As I begin to write this amazing piece, the beat of 1980 by Dirt Nasty (aka – Simon Rex) begins to flood my ear phones. How ironic since I just got back from my fantastic meeting with the ever-so-lovely Madison Mitchell….

As soon as Madison picked a sushi restaurant for us to meet at, I knew I would like this girl!

I barely stuttered the words “hello” before I spilled soy sauce all over my papers. No big deal, that’s just the way I tend to roll.

She came in looking naturally glamorous; boots over jeans, tucked tank top, tattoos, black curls tied back and a huge smile. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was pretty nervous considering this was my first interview and my first piece for Karmacake! Which I’m sure I made pretty obvious since I barely stuttered the words “hello” before I spilled soy sauce all over my papers. No big deal, that’s just the way I tend to roll.

For those of you who don’t know, Madison Mitchell  is a 26-year-old Detroit native who moved to L.A to pursue acting and modelling in adult entertainment. She may roll with friends who include Simon Rex and Mickey Avalon, but she is also known for her cheeky blog, Back Door Whore – where she shares her life, trials and tribulations of being an up-and-coming porn starlet. I still can’t believe that while I was visiting L.A I was lucky enough to grab a quick lunch date with the beauty!

Once we got acquainted with one another I decided to ease into things. Madison was very open with herself during our lunch which I’m sure has now become a little easier considering her line of work.We first started talking about our love for sushi! “I love it, I eat it basically everyday!”. I tired to make the transition into the topics I wanted to talk about as smooth as I could but I’m pretty sure it was abrupt. She was sweet and just smiled as I would apologize. Understandably, she was a little hesitant to get into her more personal life; Madison shared one of her interviewing experience that had gone bad with a radio station. I then assured her I would never want to disobey her trust!

Madison began modelling at the age of 18 but only began full time in the adult entertain industry at the age of 24. Once she had decided on her career and announced it to her friends and family it was clear she was not going to be getting much support. This is when she made the big move to Los Angeles where, she explained, she didn’t feel as “crazy”. She described the differences between Detroit and L.A as “crazy” to “normal”. In Detroit, her career choice and lifestyle was too wacky for the natives to understand but in L.A no one really judges you because L.A is considered the “Hollywood of adult entertainment”.
